Best status page tools
A status page is a promise you make to customers when things break. The tools below range from “paste a URL, get a page” to on-call and incident timelines. The question is how much product you want between the outage and the sentence your customers read.
1. GreenCrew
Uptime checker · HostedA page at greencrew.space/yourhost with a 90-day strip and a manual report for when the check cannot see checkout. The least you need to tell the truth.
Pricing: Free while we keep it simple.
2. Better Stack
Synthetics / mid-market · HostedStatus pages with subscribers and incident posts, attached to uptime, logs, and on-call. More product, for teams that have outgrown a checker.
Pricing: Usage-based across uptime, logs, and incidents — more than a ping tool.
3. UptimeRobot
Uptime checker · HostedRecognisable hosted status pages with custom domains on paid plans, sitting on top of a monitor list you probably already have.
Pricing: Free tier, then inexpensive paid plans as monitor count grows.
4. HetrixTools
Uptime checker · HostedWhite-label status pages — the real reason agencies and hosters pick it, because the page can carry a client’s brand instead of yours.
Pricing: Inexpensive hosted plans. Often pitched to hosters and agencies, not only indie apps.
5. StatusCake
Uptime checker · HostedPublic reporting bundled into the uptime product, with SSL and domain checks feeding what the page can show.
Pricing: Freemium uptime plans. SSL and domain tests sit beside HTTP, not behind APM.
